seeing this absolutely eases my pain just a tad. I am not stick thin either, but I still have an eating disorder. I had a doctor who didn’t take me seriously because of my “normal weight”. It’s a mental illness, not physical. In addition to the pain every girl OR boy goes through with an eating disorder I find it added pain when s/he is normal weight or even over weight instead of underweight. This stigma of what an “eating disorder person” looks like is just another thing I try to fit in it. It adds more stress and makes me feel more imperfect. You don’t have to be stick thin to have an eating disorder.
